There is nothing like the feeling of putting on the gear that you need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. The intense feeling, the adrenaline, the thoughts that go through your head are insane.
Once you step on that plane, taxi down the runway and ascend to a small height of 15,000 ft, there is no way to explain what actually is going through you as you peer out of the window and everything beneath you begins to get smaller and smaller.
As you get the feeling that you are nearing your destination and the guy behind you says this is it. You look up, the light switches from red to green, you begin to inch up towards the end of the bench seat on which you have spent the last 15 minutes thinking of "am I really doing this?" you reach out and grab the bar at the open door and look down. Feet halfway over the edge, you rock back and forth, on the count of three, you are gone over the edge and heading straight down toward the earth somewhere around 120MPH before you flatten out and continue your minute and a half free fall. Words can't even come close to explain what this feels like but it is insanely exhilarating.
Finally, the chute comes out and it is so quiet and peaceful. So many things rush through your mind.
Will I do it again? The time can't come fast enough.
All I can say is, if you ever get the chance, do it.
